Our Path Forward to TA2 - The Negotiations Survey Opens August 19th 

Over the past three days, your AFA elected leadership gathered in Chicago with one purpose: to face the challenges ahead and find the strongest path forward for our return to the bargaining table to secure Tentative Agreement two (TA2). These discussions were honest, strategic, and focused on the feedback you have been providing to your Local Council Leadership. Our ultimate goal remains to protect and advance the rights, dignity, and future of every United Flight Attendant together.

We examined your concerns, obstacles in negotiating under the RLA, and the opportunities we will forge as a unified group. Together, we will continue working to build a clear, direct strategy to move toward an agreement that reflects the highest priorities that matter.

The United MEC has approved a targeted, anonymous, and confidential interactive survey that will be available to all Members in good standing. Identifying your priorities will help guide us in preparing new proposals moving forward in the next round of bargaining. In addition to the questions provided, this survey allows United Flight Attendants to write their responses and share their specific concerns and expectations. We encourage every Member to give honest and candid feedback, as the survey results will aid the Negotiators in developing proposals for our return to the table. 

Please keep in mind that the primary focus of this survey will be to identify why TA1 did not ratify. Given the limited time the mediator has scheduled for us, it is expected that we will be working primarily on the core priorities that are set forth by our Members in this survey. Your participation and, most importantly, your voice in these negotiations will be essential in our next steps.
